Gary’s “Ya can’t taste the greens!” Fat Blasting Green Smoothie

Hey don’t knock it ’till ya try it! My husband created this one on his own! He wanted a great tasting smoothie that was LOADED with greens and dense nutrition…but his requirement was that you could barely taste the greens. Well…he loves it SO much that he drinks it EVERY…SINGLE…DAY without fail and you know what…he shed over 25 lbs. in 3 months with this, not much exercise, and a clean eating lifestyle with some well planned treats. We hope you try it, and you LOVE it.

Gary’s “Ya can’t taste the greens!” Fat Blasting Green Smoothie

Yield: 1 Serving

Ingredients

1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk

2 cups organic kale (bagged is fine but you can find whole bunches in almost every grocery store and I just tear the leafy part from the stalk…tastes the BEST!)

1 small or 3/4 large zucchini, large chunks

1/2 small avocado (I found frozen chunks at Costco…SUPER convenient but fresh is great)

1 small banana

The zest and juice of 1 medium-large lime (this is the MAGIC that covers any taste of the greens!)

1 scoop Vegan Vanilla Shakeology

8 ice cubes (more or less to your liking)

Enough water for the consistency you like, roughly 1/2 cup

Instructions

1. Add all ingredients to a high powered blender, starting with the liquids and then the kale.

NOTE: Feel free to experiment with this. You can add pumpkin seeks, flax, hemp, and even cut the banana in half and add frozen pineapple chunks for a more Pina colada type flavor.

Try unsweetened coconut or macadamia milk in place of almond milk…those are an EXTRA treat!
